A mini facelift is primarily used to tighten the skin in the mid-face area. The incision is made in the fine crease in front of the ear. The procedure is usually performed under local anesthesia and sedation. In a mini facelift, the lateral eye area can be tightened with a small incision above the ear or the jawline (jaw and upper neck area) can be tightened by extending the incision behind the ear. The SMAS (connective tissue and muscle layers under the skin) can also be lifted and taken into account during a mini facelift.

To determine whether a mini facelift is appropriate, our plastic surgeons, who specialize in facial surgery and facelifts, always assess the entire face during the consultation. If the skin is severely damaged (UV light, environmental influences, lifestyle, etc.) and there is too much excess skin due to age or the connective tissue structures under the skin of the face have sagged considerably, a mini facelift may not have the same far-reaching effect as a classic facelift. The cost of a mini facelift varies from person to person and depends on the desired technique, any combinations with other methods, your own anatomy and the duration of the procedure, including anesthesia. As a guide, you should expect the cost of a mini face lift to start at around 5,000 euros.
