The desire for a cheek lift arises in many patients whose cheeks appear sunken and who want to look younger again. For some of them, the skin already hangs over the chin line, making the facial contour look unflattering, although this is the result of natural ageing, which causes the connective and fatty tissue to sag. This ageing process builds up over time. Week by week, the skin loses a little of its original elasticity. As a result of this development, wrinkles first appear, which can later develop into so-called saggy cheeks. For many of those affected, the wrinkles at the corners of the mouth become more pronounced and the corners of the mouth droop (Merkel wrinkles, marionette lines).

This correction is achieved through an operation: the cheek lift. The skin is tightened through relatively small incisions on the ears so that it later looks beautifully smooth and no longer sags towards the chin line.
Some patients also find it interesting that any bags under the eyes (eyelid lift) can also be removed and the neck lifted (neck lift) during a cheek lift. After the operation, the small incisions on the ears are closed with fine needles so that they later disappear into the folds around the ear and no visible scars remain.
Who is a cheek lift suitable for?
High cheekbones and even, firm facial skin correspond to the current ideal of beauty, which is based on the vitality of younger people. Age-related sagging skin, sunken cheeks, sagging cheeks or bags under the eyes do not fit into this image. A cheek lift can counteract the loss of elasticity and volume. It is therefore suitable for anyone who wants to make a lasting improvement to their appearance and wants a beautifully accentuated facial contour and definition so that they no longer look older or more tired than they feel or even are.
A cheek lift is particularly suitable when minimally invasive treatments, such as hyaluronic acid fillers, which are usually the first step, are no longer sufficient to achieve the desired lifting effect.
This treatment is equally suitable for women and men who are bothered by signs of ageing skin and who suffer from sagging cheeks and wrinkles. Sagging cheeks in particular, which manifest themselves as excess skin around the mouth with pronounced wrinkles, often lead to a sad, haggard and even unhealthy facial expression.
Costs of a cheek lift
The cost of a cheek lift, like all aesthetic operations, depends on many individual factors. These include the duration of the operation, any additional treatments, hospital stay and the type of anesthesia. For this reason, it is not possible to give a general price for a cheek lift without getting to know the patient and discussing what exactly needs to be done.
As a guideline, the cost of a cheek lift should be expected to start from 8,000 euros upwards.
